The Walgreens Renewal team aimed to improve and reimagine the prescription fulfillment system used by pharmacists and technicians. Initially, the plan was to introduce a four-app ecosystem, but user testing revealed inefficiencies that led to a redesign into a single, integrated platform.
I initially joined as a visual designer for the Clinical application, focusing on patient safety. My ability to drive cross-team design consistency led to my promotion as the Lead Designer for the Walgreens Renewal Program.
I led a team of two designers with two core objectives:
Audited existing screens to identify UI inconsistencies in key areas like patient profiles and prescription drug displays.
Analyzed data points to determine what patients could edit, what was required, and what could be automated from other systems like Epic and Walgreens' B2C app.
Working with UX and Product, we created reusable UI layouts and patterns. Identifying a common template for the renewal app.
Design and Product were tasked to start to think of what the renewal home screen will look like and how it will help improve main ways of working.
Areas of strategy focused on:
